Methods of assessing the size of the bear population need to be improved by adding some new ones in order to obtain accurate results. In the period from 2001 to 2010, according to the estimates the bear population increased continuously. Measures need to be taken to stop the habitat destruction, to provide connectivity between habitats and to preserve the variety and abundance of different species of plants that represent the food sources for this bears.
